A strong win for the ladies 1st with 8 goals from Issy, Cath, 2 from Ellie and 4 from Lucy.
We started strong with good pressure and constantly surging forward within the first half. Captain Michelle got a green card for not getting five after ten mins of play! Unluckily, Issy missed a penalty flick after her first attempt was disallowed but we still came away with 2 goals as the whistle blew for half time.
The goals kept coming in the second half as we continue with pressure and passes by Ilana, Isla and Georgia that flowed easily creating many goal opportunities. In this second half poppy had her first touch of the game clearing the ball confidently. The game continued to build as Gracie and Michelle drove from the back to put the ball into the D for shots to be taken and Molly held strong in defence. Connie was controlling the middle of the pitch out-letting the ball to Issy and Cath. By the end of the match the ball had found the back of the net 8 times to come away for a comfortable team and a strong confident start to the season. Man of the match - Lucy.
