There has been much chatter about our (potential) ability to run a 5th mens team. We have a good number of young players now eligible to play and Shaun was unable to select everyone last year as there were too many players.

For this to happen we need a captain / captains / organiser. Does anyone want to take this on. Realistically we cannot commit as a club without suitable volunteer(s).
There will be plenty of support on offer and a couple of people doing it together is fine. Umpires are sorted centrally so no need to worry about that. All of the captains and committee members work together to make sure everything works as well as it can.

It is possible to enter a development team where people can play at 12 and doubling up is not frowned upon. For what it’s worth I’d go for a standard team as opposition are less likely to not play a real league game.
